An operation for the delivery of oversized cargo from the port of Korsakov to Shakhtersk is to be carried out by VGK Transport Systems. A reclaimer stacker, a device that is one of the key elements of an environmental project – a coal conveyor – will be brought to the settlement along the roads of the Sakhalin Region. The entire transport route is divided into four stages and will take four nights.
“An experienced company that has been carrying out similar trips around the Sakhalin Region for many years will be engaged in transportation. All traffic is coordinated with traffic regulators and road maintenance organisations. The route is planned in such a way that it would cause as little inconvenience to other road users as possible. The cargo will be escorted by the traffic police, and only briefly hinder the movement of cars in some places. These are bridges, sections under repair and the Ilyinskoye-Arsentievka road,” said Alexey Tkachenko, Director of the High Command Transport Systems.
The company on asks motorists to understand the logistical difficulties in delivering the cargo necessary for the development of an environmental project and adjust their routes, taking into account the introduced road restrictions.
It should be noted that the VGK continues the construction of an electric conveyor, which will become one of the key links in the Green Coal Cluster environmental project. The facility will help to safely tranship significant volumes of coal, unload the roads of the Uglegorsk region.
After the construction and commissioning of wind turbines, the conveyor will become a completely carbon-neutral unit in the production process. In addition, the development of production will increase the number of jobs and tax payments to the budget of the district and region.
